Tennis passes
The Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications to reserve indoor court time for the 2007-2008 indoor tennis season. Applications are available at the Ida Lee Park Tennis Center or online at http://www.idalee.org/parks/programs/sports/tennis/ . In-town residents can apply for an annual pass beginning Aug. 1. Non-town residents can apply beginning Aug. 15.
The indoor tennis center is expected to open Nov. 1.
Medevac training
Air Care, the Medevac helicopter based at Leesburg Executive Airport, began its night training July 26, and will continue through next week. These training sessions are slated from dark to midnight each night and will be at the Airport’s South Apron and in local unpopulated areas to help minimize the impact on local residents.
