Why is it impossible to get the Warrenton planning department to approve the Boys and Girls Club application to move into the Old Town Athletic Club building?
Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10th) was pleased with the facility and is a strong supporter of the club. All five supervisors have praised the club. It has operated successfully at Taylor Middle School. The sheriff is also a strong supporter, as are many business and professional leaders.
The club officers have spent months trying to work with the planning office. They throw up one obstacle after another. It is apparent that they are determinded to deny permission for a group which does so much good to move into a better situation.
