Oh, please

President Obama’s critics were in a swivet yesterday for another incident that establishes beyond doubt that he is, well, not one of us.

Apparently Sidwell Friends, which his daughters attend, served Asian cuisine on Pearl Harbor Day.

Cooler heads pointed out that the dishes were, largely, Chinese or generally regional, not Japanese, and, more to the point, that that war has been over for 66 years, during which Japan has been a strong friend and ally.

D-Day falls on a school day in 2012. If Sidwell Friends serves franks with sauerkraut, Mr. Obama’s reelection will suffer a serious setback.
