Please take note: For the first time in, we believe more than two years, there was not a single foreclosure in this week’s listing of property transfers in Fauquier County.

Just as heartening, the listing of building permits this week has four approvals for single-family homes, the most we have seen in a while.

Realtors are getting busy again, as they have not done for the past several springs, when home buying really begins. One real estate professional told us last week that she has buyers, but there is a scarcity of homes to show them.

That’s the best news we’ve heard in a while.
