Boiling mad

You would think with all this open land, that the provision of clean water would be easy. You’d be wrong, apparently.

We published a report on Friday about Bealeton residents still having to boil their tapwater because of some well problems that started nearly five months ago.

For the Water and Sanitation Authority to be so willing to pass the buck, to be so blind to the injustice of charging its customers the same for water that they can drink as for water that they can’t — for months on end — and to be so nonchalant about getting this situation remedied is unacceptable.

Irate residents have called the supervisors, which is as it should be. They should also call the members of the authority board to voice their displeasure.

Their names and home phone numbers are listed on the WSA website.
