Woman pleads guilty to sex with two minors

A Warrenton woman pleaded guilty in Fauquier County Circuit Court Thursday to charges of sex with two boys from Fauquier County, ages 13 and 15.

Stephanie Streight, 41, pleaded guilty to two charges of consensual sexual intercourse with a 15 year old teenage boy. She also pleaded guilty to three charges of carnal knowledge with a 13-year-old boy.

The charges related to the 15-year-old boy stemmed from incidents from last March. The charges related to the 13-year-old were based on three separate incidents from last August. The second set of charges occurred while she was free on bail/bond for the first set of charges.

The initial charges came to light when a local high school official told Fauquier sheriff's deputies that he had found sexually explicit text messages from Ms. Streight on the 15-year-old boy’s mobile phone, according to a release from Commonwealth's Attorney James Fisher.

Investigators soon learned that the boy was having a consensual relationship with the woman. Streight gave marijuana to the boy on several occasions, according to the release.

Last August, while Streight was on bond and awaiting trial on the initial charges, the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and deputies learned that the defendant might be involved in an inappropriate relationship with another boy.

Investigators discovered that Streight pursued a similar pattern with the second boy, giving him marijuana as well.

Streight faces up to two years in jail for the charges to which she pleaded. She will be sentenced on April 22 at 1 p.m. in the Fauquier County Circuit Court.

"No plea agreements were made on the sentences to be imposed," Fisher said in a release. "As a result of these convictions, she will be required to register as a sex offender."

Streight is currently being held without bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center. Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Abigail Owens prosecuted the case for the commonwealth.
