Wakefield teacher sings at home of Belgian ambassador

Christine Mulligan, a teacher and chairman of Wakefield School's art department, sang witth the Washington Cathedral Choral Society at Ambassador Jan Matthysen's home in Washington, D.C. Dec. 10.

Mulligan is a chorister with the Choral Society. They sang the European Union and the Coucil of Europe's anthem which is based on a composition by Beethoven 9th Symphony "Ode to Joy."

The Belgian embassy contacted the cathdral's music director, who requested the Choral Society to sing.
