Va. gearing up for state-wide tornado drill

Monday, Jan. 7 | By Mark Grandstaff
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management invites the public to join in a state-wide tornado drill at 9:45 a.m. March 12.

The sign-up form for the drill is located here.

According to VDEM, there is no such thing as a tornado "season": They can hit anywhere and any time. In the event of a tornado, people should reach the lowest point in a building and crouch as low to the ground as possible until the storm subsides.
