Thirteen people die in Thanksgiving holiday traffic accidents in Virginia

Virginia State Police report 13 fatalities on Virginia's roads over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday. Counting began at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 and ended at midnight Sunday, Nov. 25.
There were two less deaths over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday in 2011, and three less in 2010.
