Pest control man arrested on charges of stealing TV, jewelry

Monday, Dec. 10 | By Mark Grandstaff
Christopher Ray Smith
Fauquier deputies arrested a pest control worker who allegedly stole a television and jewelry from a Warrenton home.

On Dec. 4, a resident of a home in the 7200 block of Early's Road contacted sheriff's deputies, saying the "pest control guy" working at their home might have stolen a TV and jewelry. Deputies contacted the pest control company in Manassas, identifying the pest control worker as Christopher Ray Smith, 25, of Tackett's Mill Road in Stafford.

Deputies found Smith at the company's Manassas office. They found the victim's television and jewelry in a dumpster at the company site.

Smith was charged with grand larceny and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
