The Warrenton Antiquarian Society will host a talk by Douglas Sandord, Ph.D., on efforts to preserve a log slave building on the grounds of Weston Farmstead in Casanova.

Sanford will share his recent experience of work at the log slave building at the Weston Farmstead in Casanova and how he and his colleague, Dr. Dennis Pogue, placed the structure within an overview of Virginia slave housing through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

He has written extensively on the topic of slave housing in Virginia.
