Two Highland sixth graders, Rachel Paradise and Blake Bogin, earned Champion and Reserve Champion respectively Oct. 22 at the WIHS Local Day horse show in Upper Marlboro.
Nearly 30 medium ponies competed in the division for the chance to be one of the top 4 to earn the right to compete at the Washington International Horse Show at the Verizon Center Oct. 30.
Paradise and her pony Heart to Forget, as well as Bogin and her pony Cedar Spring McDreamy, will headed to the Verizon Center to compete last weekend.
Highland junior Maggie Pollard also qualified for Washington on her large pony Cedar Spring Erin McVai.
