Along with students from around the United States, Kettle Run High School students made paper snowflakes and sent them to the new school that Sandy Hook Elementary School students are attending. The Connecticut students saw thousands when they entered their new building following the massacre at their school Dec. 14.

After learning in the idea on the internet, Alexandra Whitesides got many of her fellow students at Kettle Run involved, enough to make 1,265 snowflakes, together with those contributed by students at . Mary Walters Elementary School.
