The Fauquier Falcons improved to 2-1 in the Evergreen District on Wednesday with a 64-52 victory over the Warren County boys basketball team on the road in Front Royal.

The Falcons (7-9) took a 19-9 lead by the end of the first quarter and held on to a 49-42 advantage by the end of the third period. They made 7 of 12 3-point field goals in the game and Caleb Lantz led Fauquier with 18 points, while Jay Jay Roberts had 16, Jeremiah Blackwell had 10 and Leif Heltzel had eight.

Dillon Tapscott led the Falcons with five assists, while Roberts had a team-high six rebounds. Tapscott and Lantz also had three steals each, while Roberts had three assists.
