Fourteen Fauquier County Public School teachers nominated for prestigious award

Fourteen teachers from Fauquier County Public Schools have been nominated for the 2013 Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award, given by The Washington Post Company Educational Foundation.
Parents, school staff and the community nominated teachers at the school level, and one from each school was selected.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in May 2013.
The nominees are:
Sam Bombard, third-grade teacher at Pierce Elementary School
· Beth Connolly, speech pathologist at Brumfield Elementary School
· Amy Costanzo, fourth-grade teacher at Miller Elementary School
· Kathy Crane, reading teacher for grades 1-3 at Coleman Elementary School
· Selena Dickey, 8th-grade English and 6th-8th grade Honors English teacher at Taylor Middle School
· Rose Fahey, 6th-grade special education teacher at Auburn Middle School
· Diane Graves, special education teacher at Cedar Lee Middle School
· Sydney Kelly, third-grade teacher at Walter Elementary School
· Linda Koval, algebra and geometry teacher at Liberty High School
· Suzan Linch, instructional technology resource teacher at Smith and Bradley Elementary Schools
· Cristin Myers, guidance counselor at Thompson Elementary School
· Helen Olinger, third-grade teacher at Pearson Elementary School
· Kristin Vercammen, second-grade teacher at Greenville Elementary School
· Matt Yonkey, band teacher at Kettle Run High School
