Emily Granruth scored 28 points to lead the Wakefield Owls over the Fredericksburg Christian girls basketball team, 50-39, on the road Friday.

Wakefield (21-6) took an 11-8 lead at the end of the first quarter, a 30-18 advantage by halftime and a 44-26 lead at the end of the third.

Airielle Jenkins added 12 points for the Owls and Kelly Mason had seven, while Granruth finished with nine rebounds and Jenkins had three assists and two steals.
