Fauquier residents lined up at county polling centers this morning, casting their votes at the culmination of a high-stakes election season.
Officials projected an 80 percent turnout from Fauquier's registered voters. By 8:30 a.m., many precincts had already received a quarter of eligible voters in their areas.
Polls in Virginia will stay open until 7 p.m. If you are in line at 7 p.m., you can still vote.

I went to vote today and was told I was flagged as having already voted, which is impossible, because I had not. The woman behind me had the same problem. I was given a provisional ballot and was told that was all they could do for me. I have been voting for 21 years in 3 states and never had this happen before. Have others in Fauquier had this happen to them today?
