Deputies investigating possible child abduction attempt in Bealeton

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl in the Meadow Brooke subdivision in Bealeton.
At 7 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, the girl was walking north on Blake Lane to a school bus stop. In the 10900 block of the street, near Hunt Place, she passed by a white van parked on the curb. Two men were in the van, according to a release from the sheriff's office.
After walking past the van, the girl heard someone approaching her on foot from behind and was suddenly grabbed from behind. The girl struggled an broke free, running to the bus stop before running back home.
The only vehicle description available so far is a white van with a side door on the passenger side, occupied by two males.
One male suspect is described as between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, slender, possibly Hispanic in his 30’s. The sheriff's office has released a composite sketch of the suspect.
