Deputies arrest Coventry neighborhood burglar

Fauquier deputies arrested a Woodbridge woman on charges of stealing jewelry from a home in southern Fauquier's Coventry neighborhood.

Deputies say Alicia Elizabeth Johnson, 32, broke into a home in the 4300 block of Coventry Road, a neighborhood south of Bealeton, at 4 p.m. Oct. 25. A witness saw a beige Honda parked in their driveway, and saw a woman run through the yard to get into the car, according to a release from the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office. When asked if she was OK, the woman mumbled something and sped off to a neighbor's house to pick up another person.

The witness went to the neighbor's house and saw the front window had been broken. Deputies discovered that jewelry had been taken from the home.

Sheriff's deputies believe Johnson stole the jewelry, and charged her with breaking and entering and grand larceny on Nov. 29. The warrants were served on Johnson at the Prince William County Detention Center where she is currently imprisoned for other crimes.

In Prince William County, Johnson has been charged with two counts of grand larceny and entering a house to commit larceny. In Loudoun County, Johnson has been charged with entering a house to commit larceny, illegally obtaining a credit card and credit card fraud.

Authorities are still investigating Johnson and her alleged accomplice. Future charges for the accomplice are anticipated, according to the release.
