The Liberty Eagles evened their record at 5-5 Tuesday by beating the Colonial Forge boys basketball team, 69-65, in overtime at home in Bealeton.
Aaron Patterson made seven 3-pointers and led Liberty with 27 points, while C.J. Lindsay had 17 points and six rebounds. Arber Krasniqi added 10 points and six rebounds, while Armend Krasniqi had eight points.
The Eagles played without starting guard Xavier Colbert, who missed the game due to strep throat.
Wakefield girls basketball 58, Seton 43
The Wakefield Owls improved to 5-3 Tuesday with a 58-43 victory over the Seton girls basketball team at home in The Plains.
The Owls took a 23-7 lead in the first quarter, weathered a 31-23 run by Seton and then closed out the game with a 12-5 advantage in the fourth period.
Airielle Jenkins led Wakefield with 23 points thanks to 12 made free throws, while Emily Granruth had 14 points and Kelly Mason had nine.
