The Wakefield Owls beat the Massanutten Military girls basketball team, 64-32, Thursday on the road in Woodstock.

They took a 17-6 lead in the first quarter, led 33-14 at halftime and had a 47-24 advantage after the third quarter to improve their record to 4-3.

Emily Granruth led Wakefield with 22 points, seven steals, four rebounds and three blocks. Kelly Mason added 14 points and a team-high four assists, while Alecys Wallace had seven points and Alexis Smith had four rebounds.
