Bealeton man charged with locking woman in car after argument

MANASSAS - Prince William County police charged a Bealeton man after he forced a Midland woman into his car in a Manassas parking lot Saturday.

On March 16 at 11:06 p.m., an 18-year-old woman called 9-1-1, telling police that she was in an argument with a man she knew in the parking lot of the Target store at Sowder Village Square in Manassas, according to an incident report from the Prince William County Police Department.

During the encounter, the man, Daniel Moses Cicirello, became agitated. The woman locked herself in her vehicle and called 9-1-1.

Cicirello allegedly smashed the driver’s side window and pulled the woman out of the vehicle. Police say he took her phone and disconnected her call with 9-1-1, then forced her into his own vehicle.

She fought back. The woman pulled the keys out of the ignition of Cicirello's vehicle and ran. Cicirello got out, then got into the woman's vehicle to chase after her.

By this time, police started to arrive at the parking lot. Cicirello almost struck a police cruiser with the woman's vehicle in the ensuing pursuit. Officers followed the vehicle in the parking lot until the accused stopped and was taken into custody.

Minor injuries were reported, according to the incident report.

Police charged Cicirello, 19, with abduction by force, grand larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle, destruction of property, obstructing a victim from calling 9-1-1, and felony eluding. He's being held without bond.
