Department of Fire and Emergency Services

The agency responsible for coordinating fire, rescue and emergency management services in Fauquier is the Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Management, headed by Tom Billington.

Fauquier County Sheriff's Office Communications Division

All calls made to 9-1-1 in Fauquier County come into the joint communications center, located below the Sheriff's Office on Lee Street in Warrenton, beside the Office of Emergency Services.

Animal control

For the management of stray domestic animal problems, as well as to report animals being abused or neglected, call Animal Control at (540) 422-8750.

For wildlife issues, call the Fauquier County Game Warden at (540) 347-6843.

To adopt a pet, call the Fauquier County SPCA at (540) 788-9000.

The Middleburg Humane Foundation (a shelter for abused, neglected and at-risk animals) can be reached at (540) 364-3272.
