Home schooling

There are two ways to qualify to homeschool in Virginia. The first is to send standardized test scores by Aug. 1, followed by a letter of intent to the school system by Aug. 15. The other method is to claim a religious exemption, which is permanent if approved.

For more information, contact the instructional coordinator of support services for Fauquier County Public Schools at 430 E. Shirley Avenue, B-9, Warrenton, Va., 20186; (540) 422-7177.
