From Mommy's Loving Arms to Daycare
Wow, what an amazing several weeks it has been since the article “Mom makes working at home a virtual reality” ran in the weekend edition of the Fauquier Times Democrat on April 11, 2008. The responses from readers were so positive, congratulatory, and the e-mails from fellow VA’s and readers wanting to transition to working from home are still trickling in. Thank you, Kelly Alm, for a well-written article about my VA business and balancing being a stay at home mom.
Well, much has changed since the article. My one year old daughter is now in “daycare”! Oh, the first two weeks were really tough on us both, but by the third week, she was out of her “stay at home with Mommy” shell and was now in the world of socializing with babies her own age, catching colds and a runny nose, drinking from Sippy cups, feeding herself, trying tasty new foods, playing with new toys, and being around other caring, loving adults…without crying. I am so proud of her!!!!!!!
