Venison delivered to Old Town restaurant
I'm not sure whether the three deer on Warrenton's Main Street were vegetarian activists or just sight-seeing, but they sure were the Plate Glass Special at Crescendo restaurant yesterday afternoon.
My husband got this report while shopping at Safeway last night, after noting the boarding up of the Old Town restaurant's front window. Neighbors had these details: three deer entered the front window - lacking thumbs to use the doorknob. One deer made it out the back, one made his last stand behind the bar, and the other one left through the, now open, front window.
This sounds truly traumatic to all involved, and no doubt a horrible blow to the staff at Crescendo.
Our daughter worked at Crescendo when it first opened, and we've had many tasty meals there. My sympathies to the kind owners and to other people affected by this.
Clearly there must have been something good in there, to warrant such an extreme entrance:)
