Hi. I'm the crazy one
Buzz Lightyear jet pack; green, black and white striped dragon costume; pirate paraphernalia -- these are items that are part of my weekly attire. 'Why' you ask? I'm a mom.
I'm Lynn, the mom of two boys, ages 3 and 7 mths., two girls (my dogs Cleo, 4 and Sydney, 5) and wife to husband of five years, Mike.
Am I crazy? Possibly. Have I lost my mind, yes (and my husband will attest that I lost it way before the kids).
When I told my family and friends that I was pregnant they laughed. Mostly likely because two weeks prior to finding out, I firmly stated that I would not even think about having kids until I was 30. Three more years to 30, and I already have two.
If you decide to follow me in my journey through motherhood, you will quickly find out that I will not have tips on getting your kids to go to sleep, I will not talk of ways to get them to the head of the class and I will not, by any means, be able to tell you how to get them to do what you want (If you know, please tell me.)
The only thing I can offer you are funny stories of the days of my life as a mom and the knowledge that if I can keep two boys happy, healthy and alive, so can you.

I look forward to reading all about your kids and adding a few funny stories of my own. ... I got a million of 'em.

Lynn -- Tell them about the pirate-themed basement project!!
Great blog, guys... As one who really really wants kids yet is terrified of the prospect, you can be sure I'll be a loyal reader!

As I have no kids,I grew up in a big family with lots of siblings so I look forward to reading about the dynamics of raising a family. I do have 2 dogs and a cat and want to hear how your dogs fit into the mix. I can tell you the main ingredient of surviving family, at least for me, is to have a sense of humor.
