Don't Forget To Give!
If you are like me and spend a considerable amount of time at the grocery store, you are well aware of the increasing food prices. This, coupled with increasing gas prices, utility bills, and housing costs have left us all with a little less in the wallet lately.
While most of us can absorb these increases and not feel too much of a pinch, there is a growing population of those that cannot keep up with it all. After paying the bills they have little, if any, left over.
And they need our help.
This week the Fauquier Democrat highlighted this problem here in our own county and across the nation. While the demand at food banks has increased tremendously, donations to these vital resources has decreased.
I will not go too much into the details, you can read all that in the article. I just want to encourage you to consider buying a little extra each time you are at the grocery store and dropping it off at one of the local food banks. $10 or $15 of extra food may not mean a lot to you, but it could be an entire meal for a family in need.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
