Vickie Koth Accepts Executive Director Position with GSA
The Good Shepherd Alliance has announced the selection of Vickie Koth as Executive Director. Ms. Koth's career includes over ten years of international non-profit management supporting third world humanitarian projects including schools, field hospitals, orphanages and microenterprise programs. She was instrumental in growing this organization from its infancy to an internationally known organization.
Turning her focus back home to Virginia, Vickie joined GSA in January of 2007 as Director of Finance and Operations. As Executive Director, she will oversee all aspects of operation for two thrift stores, a 10-bed Family Shelter near Arcola, a 22- bed Women and Children’s Shelter near Lucketts, a 6-bed transitional home for pregnant women in Purcellville, and GSA’s new Center of Hope headquarters located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Joy Trickett, Chair, GSA Board of Directors stated, “Vickie is a wonderful individual providing support to our homeless guests, our board, and staff and to other non-profits in the County whenever called upon. Those of us that know her would tell others that she has a ‘servant’s heart’ always giving to those living in need.” Vickie is not a stranger to the local non-profit sector, as she served on the board of directors for her local homeschool group after incorporating the 150-family organization during her nine years of homeschooling. Currently, she serves on the Community Action Agency Board (CAAB) for Loudoun County.
She has been married for 22 years and has three children ages 14, 18 and 19. She and her family live in Linden, Virginia, and are active members of Skyline Baptist Church in Front Royal. Vickie has served 16 years as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher and three years as Assistant Treasurer at Skyline Baptist.
